Medlar Cottage Arundel

Medlar Cottage takes its name from a much older Medlar tree in the back garden. Each year the tree produces lots of blossom and bountiful fruit which Jenny uses to make the ' Medlar jelly' which can be sampled at breakfast!Medlar Cottage offers a warm and friendly welcome for a peaceful and relaxing stay in the pretty little village of Poling close to the charming historic town of Arundel. It is ideally located for walkers, cyclists and those wishing to explore the beautiful Sussex countryside including the South Downs National Park and the towns of Arundel, Chichester, Portsmouth and Brighton.Our bedrooms are bright and comfortably furnished with attention to detail and have far reaching views over the countryside. Train services from Arundel to London are frequent and London Gatwick and Southampton Eastleigh Airports are within 45 minutes by car or train. Medlar Cottage provides parking on our drive and a lock up garage is available for carmotor cyclesbicycles if required.

Directions

From Arundel (Eastbound) take the A27 towards Worthing, passing Arundel Station. Join the dual carriage way for around 34 mile. After the crossroad and horse riders sign filter on to the central reservation. Cross over onto the west bound carriage into Poling.Medlar cottage is 12 mile down the lane on the right just after the large barns.From Worthing take the A27 (west) towards Arundel for approx 6 miles passing a lay-by, The Vinery and large green sign for Chichester and Portsmouth. After around 300yards turn left into Poling after the crossroads.
